Thirty years ago, Jock Taylor was World Sidecar Champion, the only Scot to have held
the trophy. Sadly, he was lost to the world twenty-
Scottish based Team SLR with driver Scott Lawrie (Fife) and passenger James Neave (Lincolnshire) were determined to put in a special performance to try to lift the trophy. Fresh from their successes at Cadwell Park they knew it would be a hard task to beat three times World Champion Tim Reeves and last year’s winner Phil Bell. Tim Reeves holds the lap record at Knockhill of 51.669 seconds.
