Welcome to the Team SLR website

Scott, and the team would like to say a big thank you to  all who help them, without whom we could not compete.

Thirty years ago, Jock Taylor was World Sidecar Champion, the only Scot to have held the trophy. Sadly, he was lost to the world twenty-eight years ago in a tragic accident whilst racing in Finland. For the last time on the weekend of 14-15 August 2010 Knockhill hosted the annual Jock Taylor Memorial Race. It is hoped the race will continue at another venue next year.

Scottish based Team SLR with driver Scott Lawrie (Fife) and passenger James Neave (Lincolnshire) were determined to put in a special performance to try to lift the trophy. Fresh from their successes at Cadwell Park they knew it would be a hard task to beat three times World Champion Tim Reeves and last year’s winner Phil Bell. Tim Reeves holds the lap record at Knockhill of 51.669 seconds.
